Women are food keepers in the Kulawi Traditional Community. In managing natural resources, women in the Kulawi Traditional Community have a management area for utilizing land called Pampa.
Pampa or garden for women is land intended to meet the community's food needs which have been passed down from generation to generation from their ancestors.
In managing the Pampa land, it is always done using a mutual cooperation system or "Mome ala pale" in the local language. This work system is part of their ancestral heritage which continues to be passed on to future generations in protecting and managing natural resources.
