PARTNERSHIP Invites Ministry of Home Affairs to Strengthen Collaboration in Inclusive Development

PARTNERSHIP through the Estungkara Program invites the Ministry of Home Affairs (Kemendagri) to strengthen cooperation in various strategic regional development programs oriented towards social inclusion. This invitation was conveyed in a meeting held on Thursday, March 6, 2025 in Jakarta.

In the meeting, KEMITRAAN representatives, Moch Yasir Sani and Tracy Pasaribu, discussed with the Director of PEIPD, Directorate General of Regional Development of the Ministry of Home Affairs, Iwan Kurniawan, and his team. One of the main points discussed was the preparation of the Cooperation Agreement (PKS) between KEMITRAAN and the Ministry of Home Affairs which will soon be formalized to ensure stronger synergy.

Collaboration Space and Strategic Agenda KEMITRAAN proposed several strategic agendas that can be collaborated with the Ministry of Home Affairs, including: organizing activity A, which will be implemented together with KEMITRAAN through the Estungkara program in mid-March.

In addition, assistance to the Regency/City, which aims to improve the understanding of local governments regarding the substance of GEDSI (Gender, Disability, and Social Inclusion) and technical aspects related to the Regional Government Information System (SIPD). This assistance will be in the form of a forum and can be carried out in areas assisted by Estungkara or other national INKLUSI partners.

Also, there is a Collaboration Forum with Ministries/Institutions (K/L), which will identify mandatory elements in regional planning documents to ensure inclusivity in public policy.

Ministry of Home Affairs Commitment and Follow-up Steps In response to this invitation, the Ministry of Home Affairs' Regional Development Agency expressed its openness to further collaboration with KEMITRAAN. In this meeting, the Ministry of Home Affairs requested further explanation regarding the targets and loci of KEMITRAAN's assistance so that the synergy built can be mutually beneficial.

As a follow-up to this meeting, several concrete steps were agreed upon, namely: The Ministry of Home Affairs will prepare a work plan that includes strategic activities and expected outputs and PARTNERSHIP is expected to review and adjust programs that can be worked on together.

With this collaboration, KEMITRAAN hopes that an inclusive regional development strategy can be realized, ensuring that every community group, including vulnerable groups, receive attention in national development policies.
