Activity workshops which was held was a forum to unite the various parties involved. Including the village government, relocation committee, and affected residents. This is to discuss and plan the future of the Rendu indigenous community after the construction of the Lambo Reservoir. Also, preparation of spatial planning at the relocation location of the Rendu indigenous community.
Workshops This lasted for two days with the format hybrid, hosted by Sisilia Wunu, an organizational staff member from PEREMPUAN AMAN. The activity agenda includes an opening ceremony, presentation of data from the village government, presentation of spatial data from PEREMPUAN AMAN, identification of shared needs for sustainable living, and preparation of post-relocation life plans.
In his initial remarks, the Head of Rendu Butowe Village, Yeremias Lele, invited the community to work together to prepare for long-term needs and welfare in the relocation settlement area. He emphasized the importance of focusing on the agenda that has been prepared to prevent conflicts that could hamper the relocation process.
Mrs. Devi Anggraini, General Chairperson of PEREMPUAN AMAN, emphasized her commitment to continue to help the community in facing the impacts of development. As the Rendu indigenous people, they will continue to fight for life in their traditional territory, practicing their traditional knowledge in various aspects of life.
In the process of identifying common needs, the facilitator provides opportunities for participants to discuss in three groups: mothers, fathers, and young people. This aims to ensure that each group can convey their needs without discrimination or domination from other parties. After discussion, representatives from each group explained the results of their discussion.
On the second day, activities workshops focused on preparing post-relocation life plans and adjusting spatial planning in the Boadona location map. Sisilia as the facilitator explained the tools which were then filled in by the participants. At the end of the activity, Mr. Mateus Bhui, a traditional and community leader, emphasized the importance of support from the village, regional, central and PEREMPUAN AMAN governments in the relocation process to Boadona.
From this narrative, it is illustrated that workshops It's not just a meeting. But it is also a forum that tries to accommodate the needs and aspirations of all parties. To achieve better sustainability of life after relocation.
