Multi-Party Audience and Children's Day Commemoration with Acting Regent of Tebo and Talang Mamak Tribe

Acting Regent of Tebo H. Aspan accompanied by the Regent's wife as Chair of the Tebo PKK together with the relevant OPD Team, conducted a working visit to commemorate National Children's Day (HAN) in the Talang Mamak indigenous community, Simarantihan Hamlet, Suo Suo Village on Tuesday, August 8, 2023. The Regent's visit was enthusiastically welcomed by the children and residents of the Talang Mamak tribe in the yard of the Kelas Jauh Elementary School located in Simarantihan Hamlet.

During the visit of the Regent's team, the Social Service carried out the Child Social Service (Pesona) KAT activity as an Innovation of the Tebo P2PA Social Service service. The form of service provided was the provision of basic food assistance for orphans, disabilities and the elderly which was handed over directly by Mr. Aspan Pjs. Tebo Regent who was accompanied by the Head of the Tebo P2PA Social Service and KKI-WARSI.

In addition to providing assistance, consultation services were also provided related to the Social Protection and Security program such as Jamkesda BPJS-KIS, BPNT and others. A series of events also held health services supported by the Health Office, Suo Suo and Patelki Health Centers by conducting blood tests for Talang Mamak children. The series of events were closed with the provision of school supplies directly handed over by the Acting Regent and the Regent's Wife who were accompanied by the Head of the Education Office and Elementary School Teachers for Remote Classes. In a discussion session with Talang Mamak residents, the Acting Regent of Tebo committed to supporting basic services such as education, health and economic access in the form of road infrastructure.

The Regent also expressed his thanks and invited the parties to a joint audience at the Tebo Regent's official residence in the context of a follow-up discussion to discuss the notes on the problems during this visit.

"We invite all parties to attend tomorrow night for a follow-up discussion about the Talang Mamak tribe," he said.

The government is committed to supporting inclusive services for the Talang Mamak tribal community, and will ensure support for education services for children, health services, road access and regional issues.

After visiting the location The Talang Mamak Tribe in Simarantihan Hamlet, the Acting Regent of Tebo invited the parties to discuss through a joint audience at the Tebo Regent's Official Residence on Wednesday, August 9, 2023 at 20.30 WIB.

The Regent was accompanied by the Head of PMD, Head of Environment, Head of BPN, Kesbangpol, Secretary of PUPR, Secretary of Social Affairs P2PA, Sub-district Head, Sumay Police and Head of Suo Suo Village. In this event, the Acting Regent of Tebo led the audience directly, which was also attended by representatives of KPH Tebo Barat, KKI WARSI, AMAN Tebo representatives of PT. ABT and representatives of the Talang Mamak indigenous community. The Acting Regent admitted that he was concerned about the condition of Talang Mamak in Simarantihan Hamlet, and would accommodate input from the parties present at the audience.

“We need to sit together like this to find a solution for Talang Mamak tribe. We, the Tebo Regency Government, will commit to supporting inclusive development for marginalized groups such as Talang Mamak in Simarantihan Hamlet, especially those related to the need for education, health and road access services as well as efforts to release special areas for Talang Mamak residents' settlements," said H. Aspan as Acting Regent of Tebo in responding to input from various parties present at the audience.
