Lowose, one of the places in East Nusa Tenggara, is an area included in the location plan for the Lambo Reservoir to be built by the government. This reservoir is one of seven reservoirs planned and included in the National Strategic Project (PSN). The Rendu, Ndora and Lambo indigenous communities who are members of 3 villages, namely Rendubutowe Village, South Aesesa District, Labolewa Village, Aesesa District and Ulupulu Village, Nangaroro District, Nagekeo Regency, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) reject the government's plan. The community is worried that the location chosen for the construction of the Lambo reservoir will result in the loss of the community's productive land.
Reporting from mongabay.co.id, the land was offered to the government but was ignored. The government continues to insist on building on designated land and ignores residents' protests. Even the government together with BPN carry out measurements unilaterally. Meanwhile, residents of Ndora, Nangaroro District, feel confused about the size of the Lambo Reservoir inundation area, which from 2015 to 2021 always changes every time there is an outreach. In the socialization, it was said that there were 15 conditions for compensation submitted by the appraisal team. In this case, there are several people who have signed payment receipts even though the money has not been received.
Seeing this condition, the Women's Alliance of Indigenous Peoples of the Archipelago (AMAN) held a focus group discussion (FGD) regarding filling out a questionnaire on assets in areas affected by the construction of the Lambo Reservoir and household socio-economics. This FGD was facilitated by one of the AMAN Perempuan field facilitators and was held at Mama Hermina Mawa's residence, in Malapoma hamlet, Rendu Butowe village. The FGD participants who attended consisted of thirteen PHKom Kompetar members.
This FGD was carried out to introduce and provide direction to participants to fill out a questionnaire according to the assets they own, both in the garden, such as land area, perennial plants, commodity plants, short-lived plants and assets in the yard, such as houses, graves and pen.
The hope is that affected communities can calculate and record in detail the assets they own and can see the vulnerability of the impact of the construction of the Lambo Reservoir so that it can then be used as comparative data with data available at the National Defense Agency (BPN) related to compensation payments.
