This event was held at the residence of Bapaka RW Cuan Hoy, Belimbing village. This training was facilitated by Iqbal Yusti Ekoputro, Co-Director of PPSW Jakarta. The training was attended by 24 women who have businesses in various fields.
In general, this training aims to make participants aware and able to improve the management of small and micro businesses well. As well as inviting participants to understand the concept of entrepreneurship so that they are motivated to improve themselves in entrepreneurship. Also, able to gain experience, have an understanding of the concept of profit and loss in business. As well as understanding the importance of keeping notes and simple bookkeeping skills in business.
In this entrepreneurship training there are five materials presented and discussed in depth. The first material is about the entrepreneurial spirit. Then the definition of small business, the elements of a business, material for losses and profits and the importance of keeping records and an introduction to bookkeeping.
In this training it was explained that entrepreneur comes from the words wira and private. Wira means brave, private means alone. Overall, being an entrepreneur means having the courage to do something on your own. Women small entrepreneurs must be able to change attitudes and views. Don't assume that your business is just to fill the kitchen, help your husband, earn extra income and fill your free time.
In running a business, women must manage it professionally, seriously and never give up. Fort Chinese women entrepreneurs must understand that the problems faced by women entrepreneurs are greater than those of male entrepreneurs. This is due to cultural factors that require women to need encouragement for help from men. Fort Chinese women entrepreneurs must also understand that businesses that empower women are managed and owned by women. It does not harm women, it does not exploit women, and the business profits are enjoyed by women for their own self-development. Not only that, it provides opportunities for traditional Chinese women to gain access and control over economic empowerment. In order to have an impact on improving the status and role of women.
As a traditional Chinese entrepreneur who runs a small and medium business, you must be able to identify the market. Such as looking at buyers, competitors, places to sell goods, prices of goods, products needed by other people, and the advantages of the products offered. Skills and experience, business capital, human resources, equipment, raw materials and motivation are also important points. Also, it is important to record material so that traditional Chinese female entrepreneurs do not forget any entry or exit fees. Many small entrepreneurs think that notes are trivial and a waste of time. There are still many small entrepreneurs who do not keep records. Because it is considered troublesome, even though recording is very important because humans have limitations in remembering things.
For example, those related to consumer debt, price lists, purchase lists, sales lists and stock of goods. The benefits of recording this business are as evidence, making shopping easier and remembering the price purchased. Lastly, a female entrepreneur must be able to do bookkeeping. This is done so that traditional Chinese women entrepreneurs can easily calculate sales. Remembering goods sold, calculating profits, making it easier to collect debts, and can reduce negative impacts on business. One of them is bankruptcy due to large losses.
One of the training participants, Henny, was happy to take part in this training. He came to understand that small and medium businesses also need to know the basics of entrepreneurship in detail. So that the business you establish can develop and make a profit. “I am happy to have a business that I started from childhood. "Now it's quite advanced and fortunately I can put it aside for my family."
PPSW Jakarta hopes that cadres can map their finances for a more prosperous survival. Also to be more organized for a more stable survival.
