The commemoration of World Women's Day last March became a momentum for Pundi Sumatra to hold gender equality, disability and social inclusion (GEDSI) training for women's groups in the Anak Dalam Tribe Community (SAD).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
GEDSI equality is an important basis for achieving the fourth sustainable development target. Namely: ensuring equitable quality education and promoting lifelong learning opportunities for all.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The event was held at the Anak Dalam Dwi Karya Bakti Tribe settlement in Bungo on March 23. And in the Sarolangun Dalam Anak Tribe community on March 28. The aim is to provide essential knowledge and skills to address issues affecting women and children.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In Bungo Regency, the training began with a speech from the Pundi Sumatra team, followed by a presentation from the resource person, namely Mr. M. Zadjius SH. MH from the Population Control, Family Planning, Women's Empowerment and Child Protection (DP3A) Service, Bungo Regency.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In his presentation, he discussed the negative impact of child marriage on reproductive health and parenting patterns. The next material was delivered by Mrs. Pebrina, a midwife from Jabal Rahma Bungo Hospital. He discussed maternal health, preparation for childbirth, postpartum care, and appropriate contraceptive methods.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Meanwhile, in Sarolangun Regency, GEDSI training is aimed at the SAD Women community. Guided by DP3A speakers, the session focused on child protection and preventing sexual violence against children.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The event was opened by the Head of Bathin VIII District and involved active participation from participants. They share experiences, concerns and ideas for improving child protection in their communities. In addition, the Indonesian Red Cross (PMI) Sarolangun provides education about childbirth and post-natal care, emphasizing the importance of maternal health. A high level of participation indicates a strong interest and need for the information and skills presented.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
These initiatives are in line with Pundi Sumatra's commitment to promoting gender equality, protecting children's rights, and encouraging sustainable development in rural areas. By empowering women and raising child protection awareness, these training sessions contribute to creating a safer and healthier environment for children and mothers in Bungo and Sarolangun.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Ulvi as Pundi Sumatra's field assistant said that the aim of this activity is so that indigenous peoples who are ethnic minorities can benefit from basic services and social protection from government programs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
