Training of Trainers on Household Socio-Economic Assets as an Effort to Deal with the Impact of Lambo Reservoir Development

On March 21 2023, we were involved in training activities related to collecting data on the assets of residents affected by the construction of the Lambo Reservoir, especially PHKom Kompetar Rendu Village and PHKom Kompetandor Ulupulu Village. This activity was facilitated by facilitators and program officers from PEREMPUAN AMAN which was attended by Mosalaki Nakabani as a traditional leader and residents affected by the dam construction.

This training seeks to teach participants to dig deeper into data related to ownership of indigenous community assets so as to minimize losses to land and asset owners. This training is also useful for planning village economic empowerment, for example it is proposed in village meetings, to provide stimulant assistance to village residents so they can develop the household economy according to the level of local needs and potential.

The information provided is about how to identify and calculate all the assets of residents affected by the construction of the reservoir, and any goods that are closely related to the economic resources of local residents. It is hoped that this can be a solution to socio-economic problems and recognize the seasonal calendar related to income, expenses and dependents. This ToT training aims to make residents understand more about family financial management so that it is more stable.
