KEMITRAAN collaborates with 10 local partners in a number of provinces in Indonesia, namely West Sumatra, Jambi, Central Sulawesi, South Sulawesi, Central Kalimantan, Banten, and East Nusa Tenggara in providing assistance to indigenous peoples and marginalized communities. The indigenous communities we assist are the Anak Dalam Tribe, Orang Rimba, and Talang Mamak in Jambi; the Mentawai tribe in West Sumatra; the Benteng Chinese ethnic minority in Banten; the Kasepuhan and Baduy indigenous communities in Banten; the Dayak Ngaju indigenous community in Central Kalimantan; the Topo Uma and Topo Mama indigenous communities in Central Sulawesi; the Bara, Tanente Bulu, Cindakko, and Kaluppini indigenous communities in South Sulawesi; Ulupulu, Rendu Butowe, Bidoa and Labolewa indigenous communities in NTT; and traditional communities and Marapu adherents in NTT.
Through this program, KEMITRAAN together with 10 partners encourage development policies and planning, as well as community empowerment by emphasizing women, children, and disabilities as the main subjects in assistance.
