The Village Musrenbang which took place at the Banasu Village Meeting Hall is a village community discussion forum held to discuss village problems and potentials so that they are properly identified to provide clear direction for appropriate actions according to priority scale. Musrembangdes is implemented to solve problems, or maximize existing potential as the basis for the village government's work program in implementing annual village budgeting and activities.
In addition to the Banasu Village Government, those who attended the Musrembang were the BPD, Local Village Companions, Traditional Institutions, Women's Forum, PKK Chairperson and members, Youth Representatives, Church Representatives, Elderly Groups, Disability Representatives, RT and Hamlet Representatives, Children's Representatives, as well as the community and program facilitators. Estungkara.
Edwin Kujere, as the Head of Banasu Village in his speech said that the Banasu Village Musrembang was held to collect all aspirations of the Banasu Village community without exception to be able to implement priority programs or activities. So that the development activities carried out are truly the needs of the majority of the Banasu Village community, not to accommodate the interests of certain groups.
Meanwhile, the Head of the Banasu Village BPD, Markus Sauru, said that by implementing the Banasu Village Musrembang which involved all elements of the village community. This shows that currently the Banasu Village Government really involves the entire community without exception in the planning process until the implementation of village development. The village government wants the development that occurs in its village to be truly based on the proposals of the residents and it is the obligation of the village government to oversee it together.
Disability Issues Become Main Topic in Banasu Village Musrembangdes
In the framework of the Social Inclusion Movement and campaign in Banasu Village, the Banasu Village government, in this case the Head of Banasu Village, asked the Facilitator from the KARSA Institute to present material about GEDSI to MUSREMBANG participants.
According to the Head of Banasu Village, Edwin Kujere, this is solely because the Village Government wants all Banasu Village residents to care more and be aware of the rights of vulnerable groups, especially people with disabilities, to obtain their rights in the Village through Village Funds.
"I want to invite the entire community to work together to be more concerned about guarding people with disabilities. This is important because there is still a lot of discrimination, stigmatization and neglect of people with disabilities by residents and even their own closest families," he said.
So far, people with disabilities in Banasu Village have not been touched by the Village Government. So far, the government feels that they have ignored their needs, so that the needs of people with disabilities have not been accommodated in the village musrembang proposal.
"Praise God, through the KARSA Institute through the Estungkara Program, we as the Village Government, especially me as the Village Head, felt as if we had been slapped in the face, how could we budget hundreds of millions for infrastructure development while budgeting just one million for them never crossed our mind," continued Edwin.
"On this occasion, I would like to thank the KARSA Institute through Mr. Sius who has continuously voiced the rights of women's groups, vulnerable groups such as the disabled group to us, the Banasu Village Government, both in formal village activities and non-formal discussions," added Edwin in his speech.
From the Musrembang process, the Village Government and the community agreed to program assistance for assistive devices for people with disabilities and the construction of ramps in public facilities such as churches and meeting halls as a priority program this year. The village government also appealed to the entire Banasu Village community to jointly support the fulfillment of the rights of people with disabilities as part of realizing social inclusion, and the village government will continue to ensure that no one is left behind.
