Advocacy for Ease of Legas Identity Services for Indigenous Communities in Mentawai

In the Principal's room at SD Negeri 02 Nemnemleleu, South Sipora District, together with Mr. Bilfesian Saogo, we talked about access to educational services for 3 students with special needs at school.

The Principal and all the teachers, especially the Class 1 Teacher, in their statement continued to provide encouragement and motivation so that the children would continue to attend school. Through the Central Government Program, namely the Smart Indonesia Program (PIP), we encourage two of the three students to be included as direct beneficiaries of PIP 2023.

Meanwhile, another child, namely Muhammad Kumar, has not been included due to the problem of not having a NIK (Residential Identification Number). However, Mr. Bilfesian Saogo promised to include Muhammad Kumar after the NIK could be obtained from the Mentawai Regional Government through the Population and Civil Registry Service (Dukcapil).

Met separately, through the Village Secretary and Head of Village Services, as well as Head of Nemnemleu Government, Leo Jolouleleu S, will help with the village administration process for Muhammad Kumar until the village administration is completed.
