Striped woven cloth or lurik cloth is known as Telopoi Weaving. This woven cloth is an Indonesian heritage in the Rendu traditional area. This cloth means grasshopper eggs with a striped pattern. Legend says that this cloth was inspired by a woman weaver from Redu who found reddish Praying Mantis eggs with a striped pattern. Tele Poi cloth originally had three distinctive colors, namely red, blue and black. However, as times change, the colors are changing due to the availability of raw materials or factory threads.
