KKI Warsi Holds Training to Strengthen GEDSI Issues

The Indonesian Conservation Community (KKI) Warsi in collaboration with the Merangin Regency Women's Empowerment and Child Protection Social Service held training with the theme 'Strengthening GEDSI Issues and Training Village DTKS Operators'. This training was held in the Rejosari village office hall, Pamenang District, Merangin Regency. This training was created in order to strengthen the issue of Gender Equality, Disability and Social Inclusion (GEDSI). As well as increasing the capacity of Village Integrated Social Welfare Data (DTKS) operators by using the Social Welfare System-Next Generation (SIKS-NG) Application,

This collaboration is realized through a shared commitment to creating an inclusive and just society. Especially for marginalized groups in experiencing the benefits of development in the village. This activity was attended by village heads, village officials and DTKS operators from various villages in the Pamenang area.

Azrul Affandi, representative from the PPPA Merangin Social Service, emphasized the importance of in-depth knowledge and understanding in overcoming social and gender inequality. He also highlighted the need for active participation of marginalized groups. Such as, women heads of poor families, disabled groups, and Orang Rimba groups, in various aspects of social and economic life. "We believe that by strengthening community knowledge and awareness about GEDSI issues, we can create a more equitable and inclusive society at the village level," he said.

This event focuses on understanding the DTKS concept and intensive application of the SIKS-NG application to Village DTKS operators. DTKS as master data plays an important role in handling the poor and implementing social welfare. Village heads and Village DTKS operators are at the forefront in identifying families who need social assistance. Including disability groups and economically vulnerable Orang Rimba.

This training does not only involve theory sessions, but also practical sessions guided by DTKS and information technology experts. This aims to provide participants with the skills and knowledge needed to optimize the use of the SIKS-NG system in Village DTKS Management. Muh Jawazi, DTKS speaker, emphasized the key role of village heads and DTKS operators in integrating women's groups, disabilities and Orang Rimba communities into the DTKS system.

The importance of understanding GEDSI issues is relevant to the DTKS concept. This can be used as a reference in social protection and security programs for poor and marginalized groups. This is also in line with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Where the government is expected to provide development opportunities and benefits to women and marginalized groups. “No one left behind"There is not a single group left behind," stressed Haryanto, KKI Warsi Project Officer.

Apart from being a learning tool, this event is also a platform for exchanging experiences and ideas between participants from various villages. Discussion and collaboration are expected to produce local innovations that support inclusion services. In order to achieve Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in the Pamenang area.

By holding this training, KKI Warsi hopes that villages in Merangin Regency can strengthen the GEDSI perspective in village development. The aim is to realize village development that is more inclusive of gender and marginalized groups. Where every individual has equal access to social and economic services from the government. It is hoped that collaboration between various parties can be a milestone towards a more just and inclusive society at the village level.
