LBL Plans Social Inclusion Training

The role of the Head of the Social Service (KADIS) is very crucial in efforts to increase social inclusion in the six villages assisted by the Bumi Lestari Institute. In this context, the Head of Social Affairs is not only a partner. But it is also a very valuable resource regarding training on procedures for applying for and providing social assistance (BANSOS).

Involving KADIS Social as the main resource person in training cannot be separated from the recognition of integrity and the positive impact that can be produced. The involvement of KADIS Social does not only bring technical benefits related to the procedures for applying for BANSOS. But it also creates a harmonious relationship between the village government and LBL. In the view of many village governments, the presence of KADIS Social as training leaders gives them a boost in morale and self-confidence.

Village governments in the six villages assisted by LBL expressed their happiness and compliance after the training. They feel more committed to carrying out their duties well. Ensure that social assistance can be distributed efficiently and on target. This is not just technical training, but also creates a spirit of cooperation and shared responsibility.

In coordination with KADIS Social Affairs, the discussion was not only limited to the procedures for applying for BANSOS. LBL and KADIS Social also discussed the activities carried out by these institutions in the six assisted villages. The discussion involves basic services, such as social inclusion programs and assistance to people with disabilities. This has been implemented through village funds and collaboration with the village government.

The importance of this collaboration becomes apparent in efforts to increase social inclusion in East Sumba. LBL not only provides material assistance, but also builds the capacity of village officials, non-governmental organizations and indigenous communities. Training on the process flow for administering and proposing Social Security (JAMSOS) is a step forward in encouraging sustainable social inclusion.

These training activities will not only be a technical learning platform. But it is also a concrete manifestation of commitment to reach the interests and needs of marginalized people, especially women and children with disabilities.

LBL hopes that this training will make a significant contribution in strengthening capacity, encouraging social inclusion, and creating a positive impact on the community in the six LBL assisted villages.
